What does Nova remember, and how do I delete an entry?
Goal
See what Nova has remembered about you, and change or delete an entry.
Before you start
- Expert view. The switch is in How do I switch between Simple and Expert?
Steps
- Nova remembers something when you say so. “Remember that …” saves right away.
- Without your request, the most you get is the card Remember?. Only your yes creates the entry.
- Settings, Memory & history, the Entries tab. The card is titled Nova remembers. On top are Active, For review, and Archive, each with its number of entries.
- Active entries flow into answers, at most 15 relevant ones per request. For review collects uncertain suggestions. Confirm makes them active.
- Edit changes the text. Archive moves the entry to the archive. Delete asks: “Really delete this entry? This cannot be undone.”
- Rules such as “Don’t remember jokes” carry the tag Exclusion. Nova then suggests nothing of that kind.
- By voice: “What do you know about me?” reads the list. “Forget that …” deletes without a card.
Example
“Remember that I prefer tea to coffee.” The sentence then shows under Active.
Common problems
- “Forget …” deletes every entry that matches your words, even several. For exactly one entry, use Delete in the list.
- Clear conversation in the Data tab only clears the conversation history. The entries stay.
- From 500 entries on, Nova merges the oldest into a single entry.
- With the Nova Chat pack, the chat has a memory of its own. It is not in this list.
Draft. Not yet clicked through on Nova-Assistant 0.8.21.
