Changelog
What changed in Nova. Newest first. Beta until 1.0.
0.7.62
17 Oct 2026
- Weather and current questions go through web search again, even without the word weather.
0.7.61
16 Oct 2026
- In setup, the hello try speaks only with the loaded Nova voice. Without the voice pack there is no button. A voice you chose yourself stays.
- A general question does not stay on this Mac just because the calendar is on the short list. After a cancel, the next answer does not pick up the old question.
- The local Ollama model no longer thinks along on short answers. In the model list, models with tools are marked as recommended.
- Trial licenses from the test phase no longer count. The seven days and a real purchase remain.
0.7.60
16 Oct 2026
- In the Simple view you can choose the provider and the model. Name, hybrid, and technical identifiers stay in the expert view.
- The voice on this Mac speaks more smoothly, including names, parentheses, and times.
- The note that something stays on this Mac is its own line. The time and mental arithmetic take the short path.
0.7.53
16 Oct 2026
- Settings show what Nova is using right now: processor, memory, startup time, and power.
- They also show which background services are running, why, and where the switch is.
- In setup, a valid key shows only the status. Otherwise the three cards sit side by side. The last page names dot or side tab and the chosen keys.
- Nova finds a file on this Mac when a time and a kind are named, for example last week and a PDF. It does not read the path aloud, and it does not open the file on its own.
- In hybrid mode, chosen sources stay on this Mac.
0.7.52
15 Oct 2026
- Setup names the optional steps and promises a conversation only once the microphone is allowed. After that, Nova can say hello once.
- A spoken period stays in dictation and does not open the clipboard.
- An unclear yes leaves the open settings question in place.
- The voice leaves sentence endings and special characters alone.
- Ollama stays on this Mac. Setup, help, and hints say more clearly what Nova does and what it does not.
0.7.51
15 Oct 2026
- The clipboard can be searched without the Nova Chat pack.
- Short spoken answers get through. A status line appears only when the answer is still on its way.
- Nova explains a setting and opens the matching page only after a yes.
- The color picker follows the mouse. While it is open, what you say applies to the color.
- A copied link shows a title and a symbol. The address appears once.
0.7.5
15 Oct 2026
- Mute and Privacy Lock stay as they were left after a restart.
- A spoken request about the clipboard searches the history. Protected pages show the host name. The window can be dragged by the header.
- Nova explains its own settings, names the path, and opens the card only after a yes.
- The eyedropper measures under the crosshair and says so when the screen is locked or screen recording is missing.
- Hex codes are spelled out. The hash mark no longer reaches the voice.
0.7.4
13 Oct 2026
- The morning announcement speaks only appointments and open reminders. The rest stays on the card.
- Series exist in Reminders and in Calendar. Follow-up only with a real time, until the round is confirmed or ended.
- An important mail can be offered as a draft. Due subscriptions are in the morning briefing.
- A hold shortcut saves a spoken thought as a reminder, a memory fact, or an inbox note, without opening the conversation.
- An invoice and a new archive document show title and deadline first. Only the yes on the card writes them.
0.7.3
13 Oct 2026
- Providers without a saved key are not offered in the model list.
- Help jumps straight to the card. Feedback gets a short colored border.
- A job with several parts loads missing tools. One yes confirms the cards.
- From the local model choice, a link goes straight to the Ollama or Bionic connection.
0.7.2
13 Oct 2026
- After a purchase from the app, the browser comes back to Nova.
- Switching to lifetime shows the three amounts on their own screen. Back returns to the overview.
- A new plan is in the app right away.
- In light mode, each license card is a box. The active plan has a green border.
- Quotation marks on slides no longer pause the voice.

0.5.14
22 Sep 2026
- Lay out windows by voice: halves, thirds, corners, another display, named layouts.
- Grok is its own provider. Linear, Slack, Airtable and Flow can be read. A Flow runs only after the card.
- Nova voice on this Mac (PocketTTS); long meetings without a 90-minute cap, ffmpeg in the package.
- “What’s that?” explains the patch under the pointer; an arrow points at the button.
- Double-tap Command, Option or Control for a one-shot action; Nova Browser with its own profiles.

- Dock, menu bar, both, or neither; mute mark on the avatar and in the menu bar.
- Topic collections as local knowledge folders; expensive auto models can be blocked.
